How do I generate a record from specific inputs only?

All you need to do is tell CoVet which input(s) to use! This helps isolate specific information from within a case for any given record.

Why generate from selected inputs only?

By default, CoVet will generate a document using all of the inputs listed in the Case Content feed.

If you want to segregate information for a progress note, phone call or other interaction from previous content (e.g. a summarized medical history or a full consultation recording) this is the way to achieve that.

Generating from a single input

On the case content feed click on the 3-dot button to the right side of the screen for a handy shortcut.

On the pop-up that appears, click on Generate from this input..., which will open the Generate from Library workflow.

In this window, notice the blue (1) that appears in the Select specific content area at the top of the screen. This means that you have a single piece of content that will be used to generate your record, regardless of which template you choose below.

Keep reading below for where to go from here!

Generating from any number of selected inputs

You can access the Select specific content bar at the top of the Generate from Library workflow after clicking on the Generate from Library button from the main case page as well. In this case, you will not the the blue (1) as pictured in the image above since you have not selected an input to use yet.

To select your inputs, click on Select specific content at the top of the screen.

This will open a window where you can select as many inputs as you like.

Be sure to leave the inputs you want excluded from this generation unchecked here. This ensures they will not be used in the creation of your document.

After that, simply click Back at the bottom of your screen and then generate as you normally would using any template you like.
