Template mapping determines which Pack Leader Note Type your CoVet documentation will be exported to.
Pack Leader is not a traditional SOAP-based PMS. Instead of syncing to fixed SOAP fields, documentation is exported as flexible Note Types.

How Template Mapping Works with Pack Leader
When exporting documents to Pack Leader, you select the appropriate Note Type based on your clinic’s workflow.
Common mappings include:
CoVet Plan → Pack Leader Plan Note
Recommended for medical instructions and treatment plans.CoVet Visit Summary → Pack Leader Client Note
Recommended for client-facing summaries.CoVet SOAP → Pack Leader Plan Note (or other available Note Type)
Full medical notes can be exported to the Note Type that best fits your clinic’s workflow.
Available Note Types depend on your Pack Leader configuration.
What Gets Exported Setting a Default Note Type
If template-level defaults are enabled:
Open the template. Go to Templates and select the template you want to configure.
Select Default Note Type. Choose which Pack Leader Note Type this template should default to upon export.
Save. Click Save to apply the preference.
Example: Set your Discharge Summary template to default to Client Note.
Adjusting the Note Type During Export
Open a linked case
- Click Export to Pack Leader
- Change the Note Type in the dropdown if needed
- Confirm export
