Yes, of course! By using the Case Auto Naming feature you can determine the formula that is used to name each case.
Customizing Case Auto-Naming in CoVet
CoVet automatically names your cases based on your recording's content, typically using the patient's name, signalment, and main issue (e.g., "Jughead - Annual Checkup"). However, you can customize this formula to better suit your practice's needs.
Customizing the Auto-Naming Formula
Access Settings:
- Click on My Account.
- Go to Personalization.
- Select Case Auto-Naming.
Choose Elements:
- You'll see an interface where you can select which elements appear in your case name. The default setting is typically patient name, signalment, and main issue.
- Click to add elements like Client Last Name or Case Number.
Arrange Elements:
- Use the two horizontal line icon to drag and drop elements, arranging them in your preferred order.
- You can also add punctuation and other characters to refine the format.
Preview and Save:
- As you make changes, the example down below will dynamically update, showing you a preview of how your new case names will appear.
- Once you've set your formula, click Save.
Applying the New Formula to Existing Cases
- The new formula will automatically apply to all new cases moving forward.
- To apply the new formula to an existing case, click the two small arrows in a circle icon next to the case name. This will regenerate the case name using your updated formula.
- This regenerate function can also update the case name if a recording initially focused on one issue (e.g., "annual checkup") but later revealed a more significant problem (e.g., "abdominal mass"). Regenerating the name will reflect this new, important information.
Resetting to Original CoVet Settings
If you ever wish to revert to CoVet's original auto-naming formula, simply click "Return to original CoVet".
This feature helps ensure your case names are consistent and contain the most relevant information for your practice. If you need any assistance, feel free to contact support@co.vet.
