How Do I Record, Name, and Retrieve Transcripts in CoVet?

Modified on Thu, 5 Jun at 10:50 AM

This FAQ explains how CoVet turns your spoken notes into structured medical records and how you can manage case names, filter out off‑topic chatter, and access full transcripts.

Do I need to name my case or indicate which pet the record is for before I start recording?

No, you don't need to do this, although you can edit the case name at any time simply by clicking on it. Assuming you don't name the case in advance, CoVet will name the case for you based on the content of your recording.

What if my client starts talking about their vacation or something unrelated?

CoVet automatically ignores information that is not relevant to the medical record, so off‑topic remarks are left out entirely.

How do I access the exact transcript instead of the summarized record?

  1. Navigate to your cases page and select the relevant case

  2. Click on the required recording

  3. Here a full searchable transcript will appear with the ability to play back the recording
