Correcting Misspellings with CoVet's Misspelling Feature
CoVet includes a misspelling correction feature to enhance the accuracy of your records. While CoVet maintains a global dictionary for automatic corrections, this feature allows you to proactively address specific, problematic terms in your workflow.
Accessing the Misspelling Feature
- Navigate to "My Account".
- Select "Personalization".
- The "Misspellings" option will be listed there.
Adding a New Misspelling
- Click on "Add a new misspelling".
- In the "Misspelling" field, enter the incorrect spelling (e.g., "Saraland").
- In the "Correct Term" field, enter the correct spelling (e.g., "Serelend").
- Select the language to which this correction applies. This is important for users working in multiple languages.
- Choose a category from the drop-down menu (e.g., "drug names"). You can also create a new category during this workflow if needed.
- Click "Create misspelling".
This new misspelling rule will be automatically applied to any records you generate from that point forward.
Quick Access from Current Case
If you notice a misspelling while working on a record in the current case, you can quickly add it to your dictionary:
- Copy the misspelled term from your record.
- Click the three dots (...) shortcut (usually found near record options).
- Select "Add misspellings to the dictionary".
- This will open the same interface as described above, allowing for quick correction while you're focused on record-keeping.
This feature helps maintain the accuracy and professionalism of your CoVet records by addressing common or recurring misspellings proactively.
