You can record a consultation in one language and get your documents in another, translate a document you have already generated, or translate a recording transcript. This article explains each way to translate in CoVet and when to use it.
Ways to translate in CoVet

Generate a document directly in another language
Set the language before you generate, and CoVet writes the document in that language from the start. You do not need to translate it afterward.
Open the case you want to generate from.
Check the generation language for the case. Your default comes from Settings → Language Preferences, and you can change it for a single case whenever you need to.
Click Generate and use the filter to show templates in the language you want.
Select a template, for example Post-Consult Summary, and click Generate.
For example, you can record the consultation in English and generate the client summary in Spanish.
Translate a document you already generated
Use Translate document when a document already exists and you need another version in a different language.
Open the generated document, such as a record, summary or email.
Click Translate document.
Select the language you want.
Choose whether to translate the current document or to translate into a different document, which keeps the original and creates a separate translated copy.
Tip: Choose a different document when you need to keep both versions, for example the original record for your files and a translated summary for the client.
Translate a recording transcript
Use Translate transcription when you recorded in one language and want the transcript in another.
Open the recording.
Click the 3-dot menu.
Select Translate transcription and choose the language.
Wait for the translation to finish. The translated transcript appears in both the Edit and View tabs.
Documents you generate afterward use the translated transcript.
Summarize and translate an uploaded document
You can upload a document, such as a PDF or Word file, written in another language and get a summary in your language.
Upload the document to the case.
Click Generate. CoVet detects the language of the document automatically.
Choose the summary type you want, for example Medical Summary.
Click Generate. CoVet summarizes the content and translates it into your generation language.
Tip: This works well for medical records, reports and notes from clinics in other countries.
Set your default languages
