CoVet lets you control the level of detail in generated content, from concise summaries to more comprehensive notes. You can set a default preference, customize detail levels for specific templates, or adjust them for individual cases as needed.
What is the Detail Level setting?
Detail Level controls how concise or detailed CoVet's generated content is. It works on three layers:
Global default. Set once in your Clinical Preferences, applies to every template.
Per template. Overrides the global default for that template only.
Per case. Overrides both for a single generation, without changing your defaults.
Setting Your Detail Level
1. Set your global default
Go to My Account › Clinical Preferences.
Find Detail Level and choose Concise, Standard, or Detailed.
Save your changes.
This is the level CoVet uses whenever a template doesn't have its own override.
2. Set a default for a specific template
Go to My Account › Templates
Open the template you want to configure.
Find Detail Level in the template settings and choose Concise, Standard, or Detailed.
Save the template.
That template will now always generate at this level, regardless of your global default.
3. Change Detail Level for a single case
Open the case and generate as usual.
In the content action bar above the generated output, you'll see the active detail level marked with an edit icon.
Click the dropdown and pick a different level.
Regenerate.
This applies only to that case. Your template and global defaults stay the same.
Quick Tips
Use Concise for discharge summaries, client emails, and quick consults.
Use Detailed for SOAPs, referrals, and complex cases.
Set your global default to the level you reach for most often; only override when a template really needs something different.
Per-case overrides are great for one-offs, they don't change your template's behavior next time.
