How to Import Cases Using the Covetrus Ascend Integration

The Covetrus Ascend integration allows CoVet to import scheduled appointments and create linked cases based on client check-in status. 


Imported cases appear on the Cases page, ready for documentation.

What CoVet Will Import

CoVet will import appointments from Covetrus Ascend with the following rules:


  • Appointment & Check-in Status: CoVet detects scheduled appointments and identifies when a client has arrived based on their status in Ascend.
  • Patient & Client Metadata: Automated import of names, breeds, and owner contact details to eliminate manual data entry.
  • Clinical Histories: CoVet retrieves existing history data from the patient's record to provide context for the current consult.
  • Vital Signs: Structured vitals from Ascend exams are imported directly into the case file to assist in generating accurate medical summaries.



Viewing Imported Cases

Imported cases:

  • Appear on the Cases page.
  • Include relevant Client and Patient details imported directly from the Covetrus Ascend records.


When you’re ready to import your cases from Covetrus Ascend, just click the “Import and sync” button on the top right hand corner of CoVet. 


You’ll have the option to import cases from the next 3 days to the next 4 weeks.
