Enable and access
In CoVet, go to Settings.

Toggle Consult CoVet to Enable.
Open any case and select Consult CoVet.
Availability: Consult CoVet is included on all plans and all tiers.
How to use it in a case
Open the case and ensure the presenting concerns and key historical and physical exam findings are documented. More context improves suggestions, but note that you are able to use Consult CoVet prior to fully finishing your case. The feature is designed to be a useful resource even at the mid-point of your consultation, and it will help guide you with suggestions on where to take things next.
Click Consult CoVet. The assistant analyses the case details and displays the sections listed above.
Scan the lists and mark what fits. Expand linked resources as needed.
Decide next steps and document your plan in your clinical notes simply by adding new recordings to your case.
(Optional) After adding new, important information to your case, you can refresh the Consult CoVet report to reflect this newly added information. Repeast this process as many times as you need as new lab results or response to treatment becomes available.
Communicate with the team. Use the output to support handovers or client discussion.
Tip: If details are sparse, add a short summary in the note first, then reopen Consult CoVet for a more targeted result.
Good practice
Keep ownership of decisions. Use Consult CoVet to inform your differentials and plan, not to make the decision for you.
Check the must‑not‑miss list before you conclude the visit. It is a helpful safety net during busy shifts.
Tailor to the patient. Consult Covet reports do factor in your patient’s species, life stage, and comorbidities, but be aware CoVet may not have the full case context that you do. It’s important to use your judgement and to adjust any suggestions based on your knowledge and case awareness.
Record your reasoning. Note why you accepted or rejected items. This supports audit quality and continuity of care.
Share carefully with clients. Client‑facing explanations should be written in plain language and reviewed by you.
Notes on sources and safety
Medical content and references are provided by LifeLearn’s Sophie AI, which references a knowledge base of high-quality veterinary textbooks and conference proceedings.
Consult CoVet is an assistive tool. It does not establish a diagnosis, prescribe treatment, or replace a physical examination.
Always consider local regulations, availability of diagnostics, and clinic protocols.
Support and feedback
CoVet Support can help you enable the tool, access results, and navigate features. Feedback or concerns about medical content will be shared with the LifeLearn team for review.
If you have suggestions to make Consult CoVet more useful in your workflow, we would love to hear from you. Reach out to the Support Team with any feedback.
