Move documents to ezyVet from CoVet via our Google Chrome extension with a single click!

Important: To use this feature you first need to download and install the Google Chrome extension for CoVet. Please visit this article for instructions on how to do this.

Chrome Extension or ezyVet integration?

There are two ways to connect CoVet and ezyVet.

The Chrome Extension uses manual field mapping. You choose where each CoVet template section should go in ezyVet, and the extension saves that mapping for future records.

The direct ezyVet integration connects CoVet and ezyVet so appointments can sync into CoVet and approved records can be sent back to the corresponding ezyVet patient file.

The Chrome Extension is always free. The direct ezyVet integration requires a paid CoVet subscription.

Looking for the direct integration? See Setting Up the ezyVet Integration.

Before you start

You need the CoVet Chrome Extension installed in Google Chrome.

How to export records to ezyVet

1. Open ezyVet in Chrome

Open the patient chart or consultation where you want the CoVet content to appear.

The ezyVet Chrome Extension connection supports both the classic ezyVet dialogs and the newer editor layout.

2. Open CoVet beside ezyVet

Click the CoVet extension icon and sign in if prompted.

Open the completed CoVet case you want to transfer.

3. Configure your template mapping

The first time you use a CoVet template with ezyVet, choose which ezyVet destination should receive each template section.

Mapping is manual. You can choose any supported ezyVet destination for each CoVet section.

Save the mapping when you are finished.

The extension remembers the mapping for that template and ezyVet. Each new template needs its own mapping.

ezyVet fields available for mapping

The Chrome Extension supports 21 fixed ezyVet destinations.

4. Transfer your record

Use Paste All to send each mapped CoVet section to its selected ezyVet destination.

You can also paste individual sections if you only need part of the record.

5. Review the record in ezyVet

Check that each section landed in the expected field.

Make any final edits, then save the record in ezyVet.

If content goes to the wrong field

Open the template mapping and check the destination selected for each section.

Remember that mappings are saved by template. If you switch to a different CoVet template, that template needs its own ezyVet mapping.

Quick tips

  • Keep the matching CoVet record and ezyVet patient chart open in Chrome.

  • Configure each new template before using Paste All.

  • Review your mapping if your workflow or template changes.

  • Check the transferred content before saving the record in ezyVet.
