Once you're connected, CoVet can import appointments from Vet-Files as cases. Each imported case is linked to its Vet-Files appointment, so the note you create can be exported back to the right patient later. Imported cases appear on your Cases page, ready for you to work on.
There are multiple articles that will help you with different aspects of the Vet-Files integration.

Important to read before using the integration
How to use the integration following set-up
Auto import cases
Auto-importing lets CoVet bring in your Vet-Files appointments automatically on a schedule, so you don't have to import them by hand each day.
You'll set up auto-import during initial setup, and you can adjust it any time.
1. Open the integration settings
Click your name in the navigation to open My Account, select Integrations/Connections, and on the Vet-Files tile click the gear icon to edit its settings.
2. Choose your auto-import options
Use the Import Schedule and date range options to set how often and how far ahead CoVet imports your appointments, then click Save Changes. Your cases will now arrive automatically based on the schedule you chose.
Manually import cases
1. Click Import & Sync
To bring in appointments at any time, click Import & Sync in the top right of the Cases page.
CoVet pulls in any new appointments from Vet-Files and creates matching cases. If a case already exists, it won't be duplicated, so you can click Import & Sync as often as you like. The Last sync time is shown just below the button.
2. Choose your import options and confirm
Choose what you'd like to import:
Import for yourself or the whole team. Import only your own appointments or your team's.
Filter by team member (optional). If importing for the team, narrow it to a specific provider or include everyone.
Select a date range. Choose the days you want to import.
Then click Import & Sync to begin.
3. Review the confirmation
After a brief processing period, a confirmation shows how many cases were imported. Any appointments that were already imported are counted as updated rather than new.
Viewing imported cases
Imported cases appear on your Cases page. In tile view, each tile is a single case and shows the key appointment details.
A newly imported case shows an Empty badge until you start adding content, and an indicator showing it's linked to its Vet-Files appointment. You can switch between tile and list view using the toggle in the top right of the Cases page.
