Setting up the VetFiles integration lets CoVet import your VetFiles appointments as cases and export your notes back into VetFiles, so each case stays tied to the right patient.
Before you can connect, your clinic needs to have CoVet activated on the VetFiles side.
There are multiple articles that will help you with different aspects of the Vet-Files integration.

Important to read before using the integration
How to use the integration following set-up
1. Activate CoVet in Vet-Files
Before anything else, your clinic must enable CoVet on the VetFiles side and get your connection token. Contact VetFiles (MillerFox) and ask them to activate CoVet for your clinic and issue your token.
This step is required. Until VetFiles has activated CoVet for your clinic, your token won't work and the connection will fail, even if everything else is entered correctly. If you try to connect before activation, CoVet won't be able to reach your VetFiles account.
2. Navigate to Integrations from the My Account page
In CoVet, click on your name in the navigation to open the My Account page, then select Integrations/Connections.
3. Connect the Vet-Files integration
Find the Vet-Files tile and click Connect.
Note: If you are not a paid subscriber, you may see an alert at this step. The Vet-Files integration is only available on a paid subscription and cannot be enabled during a free trial.
4. Review the setup steps
The next screen walks you through what to expect and links to any limitations for this practice management system. Review these, then continue.
5. Enter your VetFiles token
Enter the connection token issued to your clinic by Vet-Files, then continue. CoVet uses this token to securely connect to your Vet-Files account.
If you see an error saying your account isn't activated, it means CoVet hasn't been enabled for your clinic in Vet-Files yet. Go back to step 1 and confirm activation with VetFiles before trying again.
6. Match your CoVet accounts to Vet-Files providers
Match the members of your team in CoVet to how they appear as providers in Vet-Files. This makes sure each imported appointment is assigned to the right person and that notes export back under the correct provider.
7. Review how imported appointments will appear
Review how your VetFiles appointments will look once they're imported into CoVet, including how cases will be named. To change the naming format, click Edit.
8. Finish setup and start using the integration
Once you've reviewed everything, you'll see a confirmation message that setup is complete. Your Vet-Files integration is now ready to use.
